The Acolyte was revealed to be cancelled on August 19, only weeks after its season 1 run ended on Disney Plus. Bungie has announced that starting in 2025, it’ll be switching to offering two “medium-sized” expansions for Destiny 2 per year, rather than the annual expansions it’d previously constructed its plans around. Why? Well, according the game’s director, things were getting “too rigid” and feel a bit “formulaic” in terms of these add-ons.This change comes not long after The Final Shape arrived to a pretty favourable reception back in June, but was subsequently followed by Bungie laying off 220 staff amid some other big changes. Toei Animation announced today that One Piece is taking a break from the Egghead Arc until next year, but you’ll still have some anime to keep you going.It’s rare that the One Piece anime takes a particularly long break, but after a long uninterrupted stretch of episodes, it’s finally taking one. As announced by Toei Animation earlier today, the anime is on break until April 2025, a full half a year, and during a One Piece News special, it’s apparently so the team can “recharge”, an understandable reason given how hard the anime has been going over the past year.
