Unity is canceling the Runtime Fee and reverting back to its existing seat-based subscription model, albeit with a price increase for Unity Pro and Unity Enterprise users.
The engine maker introduced the controversial levy around a year ago. Initially, the Runtime Fee sought to charge developers a per install tariff once projects had passed certain milestones. It was a decision that left many users reeling, resulting in a colossal backlash that ultimately forced the company to rework–but not ditch–the policy.
The fallout, however, was enormous. A number of high-profile creators lambasted Unity and threatened to ditch the engine over what they felt was a huge betrayal of trust. Unity'…

Slow fashion is a movement pushing for an environmentally sustainable, ethically-produced approach to retail, emphasizing, for example, secondhand shopping. It’s “a different approach in which designers, buyers, retailers and consumers are more aware of the impacts of products on workers, communities and ecosystems,” wrote Kate Fletcher for the Ecologist in 2007.

There’s a civil war between the Targaryens in House of the Dragon Season 2. But as seen in the trailers for the returning Game of Thrones prequel series, there’s dissension among the Blacks as well. Matt Smith’s Daemon Targaryen is not seeing eye-to-eye with his wife, Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy). And that loss of trust between them may have severe consequences for Daemon according to Smith.
“In his perverse way–and it is deeply perverse–Daemon thinks he’s doing the right thing,” explained Smith during an interview with Variety. “And sometimes he’s just doing it because he likes that feeling of being the black sheep… We start to see the mask slip. Life becomes more difficult, and he gets soft around the edges. He starts to unravel.”
“We definitely meet Daemon a…

With well received Resident Evil remakes, strong numbers on Street Fighter and Monster Hunter, and success with rolling the dice on new ideas like Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, Capcom is undeniably having a moment. And, with a plethora of new titles on the way such as the highly anticipated Monster Hunter Wilds, Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, and Resident Evil 9, we don’t see the publisher’s winning streak ending anytime soon…
Read moreDeveloping bonds with your Followers in Metaphor: ReFantazio is incredibly important, as you unlock special skills and new Archetypes for your party to use. Most of these are relatively simple to advance once you establish a bond, but improving your relationship with Neuras, your engineer, requires a little more effort. In order to progress with him, you will need to find Relics, which can be found in various side dungeons throughout the game. While the in-game quest only provides you with hints to their locations, we can tell you exactly where to find them. After retrieving a relic, you will still need to give it to Neruas to advance to the next Follower level.
The sections are named after the locations the relics can be found in and are ordered based on when th…

Read moreOftentimes, video games are delayed because the project hasn’t fully come together, riddled with performance issues or game-breaking bugs. But that’s not the case with Avowed, according to Xbox head honcho Phil Spencer. He pushed back Obsidian’s upcoming RPG because this holiday season was too crowded for the company.

This allowed Xbox to space out releases and give Avowed its own time to shine next year.
