The Acolyte was revealed to be cancelled on August 19, only weeks after its season 1 run ended on Disney Plus. While it worked well enough with critics, a sizable portion of the Star Wars fandom outright rejected it, citing plenty of s**t reasons and a few other complaints that were actually reasonable.
