Bungie has announced that starting in 2025, it’ll be switching to offering two “medium-sized” expansions for Destiny 2 per year, rather than the annual expansions it’d previously constructed its plans around. Why? Well, according the game’s director, things were getting “too rigid” and feel a bit “formulaic” in terms of these add-ons.This change comes not long after The Final Shape arrived to a pretty favourable reception back in June, but was subsequently followed by Bungie laying off 220 staff amid some other big changes. The cuts were reportedly in the works long before that expansion arrived and couldn’t have been prevented even if it had blown away all expectations, with Bungie asserting that it was still “committed to Destiny” after them.To see this content please enable targeting co…

Read moreBlizzard reportedly had adaptations of Overwatch, Diablo, and StarCraft in the works with Netflix prior to it filing a lawsuit against the streaming giant in 2020.This is according to Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier, who’s still in the midst of promoting his upcoming book Play Nice: The Rise, Fall, and Future of Blizzard Entertainment, and has moved on from appearing on podcasts to hosting Reddit AMAs.To see this content please enable targeting cookies.Manage cookie settings As part of the latter on r/wow, Schreier was asked by one fan “Any insights into why Blizzard hasn’t branched out into Movies/TV/animation? Yeah the 2016 Warcraft film happened.. but It seems strange how in the 20+ years of WoW and an even longer history of Blizzard’s story heavy IPs they’ve been incredibly light on expandi…
Read moreIf you’ve been on the Silent Hill 2 Remake Wikipedia page recently and noticed the review scores seem a bit low, that’s because someone’s been tampering with them.Against all odds, the Silent Hill 2 Remake has been reviewing quite well. There are plenty who feel surprised by that fact, some reviewers included, but look, if the game’s good the game’s good. I’ve not had a chance to go hands-on with it myself yet, so I can’t offer you my opinion, but clearly there are some that are desperate to show theirs. As spotted by Eurogamer, it appears that someone (or perhaps someones) has been editing the Silent Hill 2 Remake’s Wikipedia page to give the game impossibly low review scores – nowhere gives games a zero, people – but it isn’t really clear why.Seriously? Trolls can’t handle SH2R’s success…
Read moreToei Animation announced today that One Piece is taking a break from the Egghead Arc until next year, but you’ll still have some anime to keep you going. It’s rare that the One Piece anime takes a particularly long break, but after a long uninterrupted stretch of episodes, it’s finally taking one. As announced by Toei Animation earlier today, the anime is on break until April 2025, a full half a year, and during a One Piece News special, it’s apparently so the team can “recharge”, an understandable reason given how hard the anime has been going over the past year. I wouldn’t worry too much though, as Toei has also announced that you’ll still have some One Piece anime to keep you going, it’s just some anime you will have seen before. 📢 The Egghead Arc is now on break and will resume in Ap…
Read moreVariousThere are so many ways to be a Dungeons & Dragons fan these days. The tabletop RPG mainstay has been synonymous with pen-and-paper adventuring for 50 years now, and 2024 marks a major reworking of its core rulebooks to make the game more approachable. Anyone who’s played even just a couple of sessions knows how easy it can be to covet a friend’s set of custom dice, appreciate the care a Dungeon Master has taken in setting the right ambience for a crafted campaign, or even obsess over their choice of pen and notebook — after all, it’s what you’ll be spending a large chunk of time staring into as you ponder your character’s next heroic action. But what’s amazing is that you can be a huge D&D fan without ever touching a character sheet. D&D and the Forgotten R…

It’s not typical for this console to receive any kind of discount, so we’re usually skeptical that there’s something amiss when one pops up, like an iffy warranty, or that it isn’t the U.S. version, which includes a different power adapter.
